John Catterall

From the humble beginnings of his musical journey in 1967, John Catterall has become a stalwart of the folk and bluegrass scene. His early passion for string instruments led him to the Ukrainian American String Band, and his journey continued with various duets and trios. John spent over 25 years with the Mountain Laurel Bluegrass Band and now collaborates with Paul Kenney in The King Brothers. 

Throughout, John's love for Americana and traditional music has shone brightly. His unwavering belief in the power of vocal harmonies adds profound depth to the performances of Front Porch Swing. Passionate about creating music that resonates deeply with audiences, John continues to share stories through every chord and note he plays, ensuring that his legacy of music lives on in the hearts of those who listen.
